All civics questions and answers are taken from official USCIS study materials. As works of the US Government, they are in the public domain under 17 U.S.C. § 105. Guidance about test procedures (which test version applies, the 65/20 special consideration, and similar) is based on the USCIS Policy Manual and uscis.gov, and each guidance page cites its source. See the full sources page for every primary document this site relies on, collected in one place.

How content is checked

Content is checked against the current USCIS materials at least monthly, and immediately whenever USCIS announces a change to the naturalization test. Pages display a "Last verified against USCIS" date so you can see when a page was last checked. Some civics answers change over time (for example, the names of current officials); those are reviewed on every check.

Corrections

When we find an error, we fix the page, record the fix in the public corrections log with the date and the source that settles it, and update the page's verified date. If you spot a mistake, please tell us.

Translations

Translations are machine-assisted and human-reviewed. The official questions and answers remain in English, as the interview is conducted in English unless you qualify for an exemption.
