Wyoming: your state's civics test answers

Four questions on the 2025 civics test depend on the state you live in. If you live in Wyoming, these are the current answers. Officials verified against nga.org (governor) and senate.gov (senators).

Question 61: Who is the governor of your state now?

Mark Gordon

Question 23: Who is one of your state's U.S. senators now?

Either name is a correct answer: John Barrasso or Cynthia Lummis. You only need to name one.

Question 29: Name your U.S. representative.

Wyoming has a single at-large congressional district, so every resident shares one representative. Look up the current officeholder by address with the representative lookup or at house.gov.

Question 62: What is the capital of your state?

Cheyenne

Living in Washington, D.C. or a U.S. territory?

These four answers assume you live in one of the 50 states. If you live in Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico, Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands, American Samoa or the Northern Mariana Islands, some of them are different — D.C. and the territories have no U.S. senators, for instance. USCIS prints the correct answer for each case in the official question list, and we quote it word for word on the question pages:

When these answers change

Governors and senators change with elections and appointments — but election winners are not correct test answers until they are sworn in, and this page updates at swearing-in, not on election night. See what changed and when for every election-dependent question, or study the full 128-question list.
